Inspired by Abstract Impressionists, street artists, and deep rooted connections to Cuba and Spain, I use my paintings to explore the power of color, form and composition to create emotional feeling. My works offer a vision of the human capacity for passion. With the use of simple lines I build on a foundation with a strong emphasis on form, which leads into a series of images that help me communicate expansive emotions.
While combining a variety techniques and subject matter, the art that I make is spontaneous and has a raw sense of feeling. I work freely to construct my vision, even in the most thought out compositions thus offering the viewer a chance to enter into the world of imagination and ingenuity. I make art for this very reason, to express how I see the world around me and to allow the viewer to make a connection.
